Lithium-iron-phosphate batteries with SMART BMS INVERTER — investment in reliability and stability of power supply

In the near future, the prices of all batteries: lithium-iron-phosphate, lithium and other types will significantly decrease due to the abolition of VAT and duties that had to be paid at customs.
It will soon be possible to buy a lifepo4 battery in Ukraine significantly cheaper - the Verkhovna Rada passed and the President of Ukraine quickly signed a law that cancels the collection of VAT and customs duties on equipment used for electricity generation. Along with various types of generators and solar panels, high-capacity batteries that can be used in energy storage and storage systems are also becoming cheaper.
Should I buy a lifepo4 battery with a SMART BMS INVERTER in Ukraine?
But even with the abolition of VAT and customs duties, the price of lifepo4 batteries remains one of the highest on the market. At the same time, it is worth noting separately smart batteries, which are even more expensive - their cost is 20-30 percent higher than that of ordinary ones. The reason for this difference in price is an additional option — the installation of the SMART BMS INVERTER board, which provides better battery control:
- Monitoring the battery charging process, as a result of which it is possible to achieve uniform charging of all elements, the difference will be within acceptable limits.
- Battery temperature control during charging — as soon as it exceeds the limits set by the manufacturer, the charging process will be stopped immediately. Lithium-iron-phosphate batteries are slightly prone to thermal acceleration, which can cause battery ignition, and in some cases even explosions, and the use of the SMART BMS INVERTER board makes this practically impossible.
- The presence of various interfaces (RS485, RS232, CAN) allows the user not only to remotely monitor the state of the batteries, but also to integrate them into the general "Smart Home" system.
- The ability to ensure optimal switching of the battery group with inverters and increase the efficiency of electric current conversion.
The main advantage of the SMART BMS INVERTER is the prevention of cell overcharging, which negatively affects the longevity of batteries. Systematic overcharging leads to the degradation of elements and its capacity begins to decrease significantly. Therefore, the use of a charge balancing system will significantly extend the service life of lithium-iron-phosphate batteries.
