Traction lithium iron phosphate batteries for golf carts
12 July 2024
Traditionally, this type of land transport used lead-acid batteries. But recently, requests from clients to purchase cast-iron-phosphate batteries for such applications have become more frequent.
In this regard, at the beginning of 2024, the engineers of our enterprise developed batteries for golf carts and the enterprise mastered their production.
Today, our company can offer the customer batteries of various capacities (from 100 to 800 A×h) with a nominal voltage in the range from 12V to 96V.
The photo shows batteries produced by our company with a nominal voltage of 48V and a nominal capacity of 100 and 200 A×h.
These batteries are installed on golf carts and are successfully operated. The batteries are equipped with a monitor and BMS with a Bluetooth module for monitoring the state of the battery using an application on a mobile phone.
These batteries are designed specifically for use under harsh conditions of continuous operation. In the off-season, when the equipment is not in use, batteries can be used as batteries for an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) in the house. Optionally, the batteries are delivered complete with a charger (ZU) of various capacities (50A, 100A, 200A)
Traction cast-iron phosphate batteries for golf carts have a number of advantages compared to lead-acid batteries:
- It is lighter compared to lead-acid ones, which increases the distance that the vehicle can cover.
- The battery size is smaller, which makes it possible to install a larger capacity battery on a golf cart and thus increase the distance that the vehicle can cover.
- Four times more charge-discharge cycles.
- Built-in BMS that protects the battery from improper operation and allows monitoring of the battery.
- Possibility to recharge the battery at any degree of discharge.
- Ability to quickly charge (recharge) the battery in 1-2 hours instead of 8-12 hours, as with lead-acid batteries.
